• The following conditions are appropriate to use dissolver (hyaluronidase):
  Undesired cosmetic result (ex: migrated filler, lumpy filler)
• Nodules
• Granulomas
• Infections
• Vascular compromise or “occlusion” (which is considered an emergency)
• Blindness (also considered an emergency)

A consultation is required to better evaluate the amount of dissolver needed to treat your specific condition. Treating filler with Hylenex is not an exact science. There are variations in the amount of Hylenex required to dissolve a filler. We take into consideration the following:

• Degree of crosslinking (higher the crosslink, harder to dissolve)
• Time filler has been in the body (longer time may mean harder to dissolve)
• Urgency (generally speaking we use higher doses to resolve emergency situations)
• Inflammatory granuloma or nodules (which may also require higher doses)
• Individual anatomical and cosmetic variations
