Both Botox and Dysport are considered minimally invasive injectable cosmetic treatments that smooth away wrinkles. Collectively, they can be called “wrinkle relaxers.” They work by temporarily relaxing the muscles in the treated area, allowing the skin to smooth away unwanted signs of aging.
When will I see the results?
Depending on if you are getting Botox or Dysport – effects may be seen as early as 3 days and to last up to 3-4 months. Generally speaking, we advise waiting 10 -14 days to observe the maximum peak potential of your wrinkle relaxer injections before returning for a touch-up.

Can you combine neurotoxins with other treatments?
It’s not uncommon for patients to have other treatments along with their Botox or Dysport. For instance, you can get an injectable filler, which can plump up your skin and add much-needed volume. These fillers contain hyaluronic acid, which is a natural compound found in the skin. Sometimes we may even decide to mix two different neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport so that the patient is less likely to develop a resistance.
Do you inject men?
Yes! Lianne does inject men quite frequently. There are different places to position product to avoid feminizing your face, which will be important depending on your desired results!
What should I expect during my Botox or Dysport treatment?
Both of the procedures, Botox and Dysport, are performed in the medical spa treatment room. Lianne will discuss with you the details regarding the area(s) that you would like to improve and make recommendations that are tailored to you. Lianne will then strategically place injections into each treatment area. The number of injection sites may vary with each patient. The entire treatment process typically takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete. Wrinkle relaxers like Botox and Dysport are considered minimally invasive treatments, therefore, clients typically return to their normal daily activities, including work, immediately following their appointment.
What Results Can I Expect from Botox and Dysport?
Immediately following your Botox or Dysport treatment, you may experience some mild swelling at the injection site, tenderness, and possibly bruising. All of these results are normal and typically subside on their own within a few days of treatment. While you may experience some benefits of wrinkle relaxers like Botox and Dysport immediately following your appointment, it typically takes several days for the active ingredients to take effect and produce your desired results. Regular treatments throughout the year to maintain your desired results are recommended.
